July 29th

I woke up at 8:15 this morning.  I had to go get my clothes out of the dryer for practice.  I got my clothes and brought them back to my room and then went to breakfast.  I met Joe at breakfast.  We lifted weights after we ate.  It was a tough lift.  We did a squat workout, so our legs were pretty dead for practice.

The morning workout was mostly technique on top. Kevin made a few announcements and then introduced Bruce Burnett, Navy head wrestling coach, and Tom Brands, one of our world team coaches, and then we got started.  Tom warmed us us for about 10 minutes and then Bruce went over leg laces on top.  We went for about an hour.

I left the wrestling room and went to eat lunch.  I was pretty worn out after practice so after I ate I came back to my room and relaxed for a while.  Watched a little tv.  I did some work on my computer and then went to practice.

Tom warmed us up and we did some technique.  After about 20 minutes we started live wrestling.  The workout was all on the mat.  We split in to 3 groups.  Light weights on one mat, middle weights on the next, and upper weights on the last.  We wrestled 30 minutes, 15 on top and 15 on bottom.  It was a really tough workout.  I felt good and pushed it pretty hard.  I kept saying world champ to myself to make myself go harder.  I did some conditioning and took my time to cool down and stretch.  I showered and went to the cafe to eat.

We played dominoes while we ate.  We stayed in the cafe until about 8:30 then I came back to my room and played basketball on the play station.  I watched some tv and went to bed.
