I got up around 8:30 am today.  We had a full day ahead of us. Jack Shaw, who coordinated the event, met me in the lobby.  He introduced me to the other athletes participating.  I got to meet David Pichler, who is on the Olympic Diving team, and Cindy Gentry, who is on the shooting team.  Also participating was Bruce Baumgartner, 4x Olympic medalist, who has participated in the event many times before.  He also has helped me to get to where I am today.

We started out with an informal breakfast with some of the people from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Jack introduced us and we got a chance to talk a little about being an Olympian.  After the introductions, we answered questions and signed autographs.

At 2 pm we went over to the park and signed autographs for a while.  It was nice, because we ot to meet a lot of people and build some support for our sports.

At night we went back to the park and were introduced to the crowd of a few hundred thousand people.  It was really cool, we were put on a platform and raised about 50 feet in the air and they shot fire works off behind us after we were introduced.

I was a very nice day.  I thank Jack Shaw and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield for the opportunity to be a part of this event, and hopefully I will be able to participate again in the future.

I am heading back to Bethlehem in the morning, so I hope to get a good nights sleep and be ready to head home.
