I got up at 8:40 this morning. I went to the cafe and ate a bowl of cereal. We had practice at 10. I knew that the morning workout was going to be tough so I wanted to get my lift in before practice. I lifted at 9:30 and then went to practice. We had a meeting and started practice. Kevin Jackson, National Team coach, put us through some drills for about 20 minutes. It was a good work out and it felt good to get started.
Between practices I ate lunch and relaxed in my room.
The afternoon workout was hard. We drilled on our own for 10 minutes
and then Kevin put us through some mat drills. The work out was 10
one minute periods on our feet and 8 forty second periods on the mat.
Then we did sprints. I wrestled with Ryan Cummins, Penn State 197
lb wrestler. I felt pretty good. My conditioning is usually
pretty good so I was glad that I did not get to tired. But they always
say the 3rd day is the worst out here. Hopefully I will be fine.
