August 7th

I was pretty sore when I woke up this morning.  I got up at 8:40.  I had to debate whether I wanted to stay in bed a  little longer and lift after practice or get up and lift before.  I decided to get my lift in before practice.  I went down to the cafe and got breakfast, then I went to the gym to lift.  When I finished lifting I went into the wrestling room and waited for practice to start.  We warmed up and drilled on our own for about 15 minutes.  After that we went over some techniques from the clinch position.  That was pretty much it for the morning workout.

After practice I ate lunch.  Dominic and I went to USA Wrestling.  Ryan and Pat came to see the office.  I had to get some stuff for my room so we stopped at Target on our way back to the training center.  When we got back Ryan, Pat and I just hung out in our room until practice.

The afternoon workout was tough.  We warmed up on our own and drilled for about 10 minutes on different positions.  The wrestling was a 6 minute period, 2 minute break, 5 minutes, break 4 minutes, break 3 minutes, 2 minutes, break and finished with a 1 minute period.  After the wrestling we had a 6 minute cool down on our own.  I wrestled with Kevin Herron, heavyweight from Missouri University the 6 minutes go, and with Pat the rest of them.  I felt good the first couple but I started to get tired the later ones, so I had to really focus on holding good position.

After practice I ate dinner and went to see a movie with Dominic.

Tomorrow we only have one workout in the morning, so I think I am going to play golf after practice and relax and recover the rest of the day.
